Senior Vice President, Sales and External Affairs, Liberty Power
Nelson Reyneri leads Sales for Liberty Power, the largest independently owned retailed of electricity in the United States, with expected sales of close to a billion dollars in 2014. In this role, he leads the development and implementation of the company’s sales strategies for approximately 200,000 commercial, small business and residential customers. He also leads a 30 person sales team and has responsibility for the company’s more than 200 channel relationships. He also oversees External Affairs, which includes Corporate Communications, Marketing and Regulatory Affairs and serves as a member of the Senior Leadership team. In December, 2013, Liberty Power was named the 2013 Minority Retail Energy Firm of the Year by the United States Department of Commerce.
In addition to serving as co-founder and President of FAE, Nelson serves on the board of the National Utilities Diversity Council, a national non-profit organization that conducts research and shares best practices to encourage diversity.
Reyneri holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, and a Bachelor’s degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Psychology and Philosophy and in Political Science from Boston University, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa.
